Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be among the top athletes. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles was the U.S.'s the first gymnast of female gender to win 4 gold medals. Biles also took home the world championship for all-around 3 times in succession (2013-15). Biles as well as her sister Adria and Ronald Biles were adopted as children by the grandparents of Houston. Simone was introduced to gymnastics by her teacher at daycare Aimee Borman when she was just six years old. She was a student at Bannon's Gymnastix for eleven years. Biles, who won gold and bronze medals at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships 2010 on the floor and vault before making her debut in 2011 with the elite section of the competition. Biles was a dominant athlete within a mere two years. Biles stood out for her consistently high performance and exuberant character, as well as the difficulty of her routines across all four events: vault, uneven bars and balance beam.
